Bear Paw Summer Camp
All Scouts going to Summer Camp MUST attend a meeting on Wed. June 29,
2011
The meeting will be held at the Scout House which is on Juneau Street next to
the Congregational (sort of across from the Library) The meeting will start at 6:
00 PM.
Tents will be assigned out, Merit Badge cards will be filled out, and we will also
figure out who will be riding with whom.


Bear Paw Medical Forms Due by Friday June 17.
All scouts and adults going to camp must have a new medical form.  
Please let me know if you received this message and if/or when you turned in your forms.  
Please drop forms a the Vet clinic ( 218 Ellis St) downtown or at my house, 1408 Third Street.  
I have a box between the doors.    The Vet Clinic will be closed Thursday and Friday so drop
them off at 1408 Third Street.

Join us for the 2011 Kewaunee County Relay for Life Friday June 17-18 at the Kewaunee
High School track.  Troop 1127 and Pack 4126 will have a joint team site.  Also, if you want to
get some community service hours the organizers can use your help!  Come and stay a few
hours and walk a few laps (bring your own chairs) or bring your family tent and stay all
night.    If you would like to donate a silent auction item it is due by 5pm at the HS.  Contact

Scouts not  going to camp might be interested in this outing and Merit Badge on Saturday
July 9th.

Next Meeting is Sunday June 5, at 4pm at Rotary Land.   We should be done between 5:30pm and 6pm.
Older Scouts to teach younger scouts Fireman’s and Toten Chip.  Please bring you knife (keep in your pocket until trained).  We
will also work on other rank advancements.   Fire building, tool sharpening, outdoor cooking and anything else we can get in.   
Please look through your books to see what you need to complete your advancements.  
If it is raining, we will meet at Hillcrest.  Call Kim Seidl 304-0085 or Jeff Kassner 255-0963 if you have questions.

Mrs.  Seidl needs the Citizenship in the Nation merit badge worksheets as soon as possible.  She has a box in between the
screen and front door of her house to drop the forms and letters into (1408 Third St.).  She has John Seidl, Ken Hower, Sam
Joski, and Matt Seidl completed.  She also has Darin Lundquist’s letter and Dean Bartel worksheet is incomplete (Dean should
contact me for a meeting).

Summer is a good time to start  one or both of these MBs.   

Ditch pick up: Saturday May 14th 8am Shopko parking lot   Adults are needed as well.   

Troop Meeting:  Sunday May15 , 6:30 PM at the Rotary Land (by Krok).  If it raining it will be held at Hillcrest School Instead.
Scouts should bring their Citizenship in the Nation MB workbook completed and their letter with envelope to the meeting.

We have booked camp site 302 and 303 at Devils Lake.  So far, 4 boys (Matt, Darin, Alex and Sam) are going.  Mr. & Mrs. Seidl are
driving with trailer in tow.  We can take one more boy without adding an additional driver.  We are planning to leave right after
school is out.  We will meet at 5/15 Sunday’s meeting to plan menu and to decide what night to meet at the church house to load
tents and supplies.   

If we have additional drivers, we can have up to 12 people on the two camp sites.  Cost is $19 for Circus Heritage Encampment.  
Also, food and camp site cost will be divided later.

Troop meeting Sunday May 1, 6:30 at Hillcrest Schools:

Citizenship in the Nation –  We will work on #1, #5 and #7.  Please try to have you letter (#8)ready to turn in.  Completed
worksheets will be due at the May 15th meeting.

If you are interested in the Spring Camporee Jax Camp in Sturgeon Bay May 6-8 you must attend Sunday’s meeting.  The number
of scouts signed up is low.  We will need more interest and adults to sign up or we will cancel.   We an adult to oversee the
catapult construction and other requirements for the pioneer badge.

Ditch pick up May 14 8:00am meet at Shopko parking lot.  Matt Joski is contact.  Adults are
need to walk along with the younger scouts.

Also, we need firm commitments for Circus Museum camping May 20-22.   Only a few scouts
have signed up and more adults are also needed for this trip.  Please come to meeting to
start planning this outing.  

At the meeting, please bring up things you would like to do as a troop.   Use your voice  and
express your preferences.

You can bring your own skates but they must be clean

Car poolers meet at Hillcrest parking lot at 5pm
